Sticking to the UK: Cost effective?

What a world we live in. The world, they say, is smaller than it ever has been. We can fly miles and miles and miles around the world to each and every corner in a shorter amount of time than ever before. People often assume that travel is expensive and, yes, it can be – especially those longer distance flights. People then assume that staying in the United Kingdom is far cheaper if they’re looking for a break.

That can be a wrong assumption, though. Holidaying in the UK can be extremely expensive with many simple countryside B&Bs charging a large amount of money per night that would put many international hotels to shame. That is why people opt to holiday abroad – it can be far cheaper to hop on a plane and stay in an all inclusive hotel somewhere in Europe. The United Kingdom might have the home comforts you are used to – but is it cheaper to holiday in? I am not so sure it is.
